Rope access

Rope access offers a solution to every problem at a location that is difficult to reach.

Rope access is an industrial rope and climbing technique, used to gain safe and fast access to hard-to-reach places. For example, great heights, depths, confined spaces, above water, or other locations with fall hazards, where work or inspections need to be carried out.

The technique is used when other methods, such as scaffolding, aerial work platforms or cranes, cannot be used in a safe or financially viable way to gain access to a location, or when these means of access cause too much inconvenience to the surroundings.

Industrial rope techniques are not only used to carry out works or inspections, but this is also the appropriate method used by a standby rescue team when entering confined spaces or other areas with an extraordinary atmosphere.

The aim of this technique is to carry out the work in a safe and accurate manner. To avoid damage and nuisance to the environment and infrastructure, and to eliminate dangerous situations or other accidents.

Applications

Rope access is used in various sectors: the industrial sector, offshore wind, oil and gas, events, residential and private sectors.

The technique is often used for inspections, technical maintenance, cleaning of specific parts, coating work, assembly, …
